Another year has gone to where?

My parents always told me to "wait until you have kids and see how fast time flies" once again they were right. Another school year has passed and my baby girl is going to be a 2nd grader. How can that be? How can we have gone from reading "Hop on Pop" to chapter books...and chapter books in 1 day. Dallas has grown a great deal intellectually this year. She still loves school and I hope to continue with that mentality. She is a leader and a helper and kind to all.

Not only will Gavin be starting preschool in the fall (as long as we can finish with this potty training). But Dallas will be moving onto yet another chapter in her childhood. So excited for what is to come!!!

Sacramento ZOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Dallas' first grade class took a field trip to the Sacramento Zoo and we decided to meet them up there. Although the zoo isn't very big it was perfect for the time we had. The kids enjoyed it and got to see some fun animals.

On Thursdays Gavin and I have a standing play date with one of my girlfriends and her daughter. On this particular day we decided to go to the duck pond of the Air Force Base. Gavin had TONS of fun feeding the quack quacks. The weather was gorgeous (which for some reason at this time of year has been very rare). We had a wonderful time and enjoyed great company.

There was quite a few people at the pond on this day so let me just say these guys DO NOT go hungry.

I kept having to tell him to rip off smaller pieces because he wanted to throw a whole roll in.

We found a wonderful pottery place in Vacaville. It is extremely kid friendly and just a great atmosphere. Tons of different pottery pieces to choose from, paint, stencils and lots of great ideas. Perfect place to take the kids and let them paint until their little hearts are content.

Dallas absolutely LOVES to color and paint...this will definitely be a great place for us to have a mom and daughter date!

Gavin decided to take a lunch break...another great thing about this place is that they let you bring food and drink in with you.

My best friend Traci had planned to take her little ones to Six Flags with her Dad and we decided to tag along with her for the day. We had gorgeous weather and GREAT company! I am pretty sure a fun day was had by ALL!
